I don't suppose anyone else happens to have a pair of these on them, do they? I would like to think I'd remember hijinks that involved handcuffs.

[That look he's giving right now is for you Anders.]

As it stands, I also have a key, but... [he demonstrates with the key, trying to unlock his cuffs to no avail.] My key doesn't seem to work with my cuffs. So... anyone else in this boat? Anyone else have a key they'd like to try? I'll show you mine if you show me yours...

[He offers a grin and gestures with his head over his shoulder.]

I'll be down in the courtyard if anyone wants to play a game of musical cuff keys.

[And a few minutes later, she's sauntering into view in what she thinks is the most feline fashion someone can manage while still standing on too legs.

When she gets closer to Alex, she holds up her arm, the key safely speared around one of her claws.

[Alex waits patiently in the courtyard, because he really doesn't have much other choice in the matter than to wait or ignore the cuffs altogether.

So, he waits and soon enough the sound of approaching steps draws his attention. He smiles in relief... and then makes a sound of surprise as he is suddenly jerked toward Nepeta by the wrist.]

Wait, wh-???

[He stumbles, but thankfully maintains his footing as he's dragged most uncerimoniously to Nepeta's side...

Where the open end of his handcuffs attach to her right wrist.

And closes.

Alex stands where he stops, staring at their now connected wrists.]

What the hell just happened?

[For her part, Nepeta stares dumbly at her newly-shackled wrist for a moment before doing the most logical thing that occurs to her.

She shakes her hand thoroughly and then inserts a claw into the lock and begins trying to pick it.

It doesn't work.

She scowls.]

[Alex looks just as displeased about this whole mess, but at least it was her and not Kevas or Sollux. God knows that would have sucked...

He remains still as she tries picking the lock with her claw. Then, an idea and doesn't he feel silly for not thinking about it immediately. He know his own won't work, but...]

Surprise... your boyfriend is from a FAR more deviant world than you might have presumed. No, love, not just for sex, but sometimes. They're used, for the most part, to secure criminals or subdue them at any rate.

[Video clicks on to an amused Claudia. If Alex is playing any attention to the video he'll see Derek in his wolf form hand cuffed to her. Throughout her post the wolf tries to sneakily nudge his way into more of the video]

I've got a key, but I don't know if you wanna get handcuffed to a ferocious beast too.

[And there's a little grumble from said 'ferocious beast' at that. Yeah. Hi, Alex. This would be Derek in wolf form looking at you, totally trusting you not to tell Claudia that he's actually a werewolf, not a regular wolf.

But also he's not terribly pleased at this. Cranky puppy.]

[Oh hai there, Claudia. Alex hasn't met you yet, but there is no denying whom she has attached to her own wrist. His eyes widen just a fraction as the wolf catches his eyes and then..

He barks a laugh, shaking his head with mirth.]

I'm more than happy to check out your key... I've got one too, so I can offer it to you and your partner in crime if you'd like? How'd you even getting attached to him?

I don't even know. I was outside, went to pet him, and bam. I'm handcuffed to a wolf [She reaches over and starts scratching behind his ear. What? It's just a big dog, clearly not some guy stuck putting up with this. Nothing weird about ear scratching. DerekWolf can be heard grumbling in the background.]

[Alex's brows rise, uncertain as to the mechanics of how that worked exactly, but not doubting it. This place was a pleathora of puzzles, after all, and things weren't ever particularly easy.]

I've seen him around and he's a pretty nice guy... certainly worse people you could be cuffed to around here.

[At the latter he shakes his head.]

Not attached to anyone yet, but I'll be wary of it.

[Then he gestures to the wolf, a half grin on his face.]

At least your vicious man killer is fairly placid and easy on the eyes. I'll make sure to keep the hell away from the moose in the stables...

Who's to say how the day'll end, though... Can't say I think my luck is better than anyone elses'.

[Because seriously, Claudia, you have no idea how shitty his luck has been at this place. :( Then he looks past her at the wolf again, amusement in his gaze as it locks momentarily on the disgruntled looking wolf.]

The moose... has a permanent case of the 'stomp yous'. As to why he's there, I couldn't tell you, but he's one of the things that never goes away in there.

[She noticed a very furry Derek attached to the pretty red-head, and felt something uneasy stir inside of her.]

[Alex comes online, but it is a short while after his initial post. You might notice him looking just a tiny bit frazzled, Chloe.]

Hey, Chloe... yeah, that was Derek. He was fine as far as I could tell...

[Chloe might pick up on some overlapping conversation and might even catch sight of Nepeta shackled to his wrist. He sighs and just looks utterly frustrated.]

Ahh... I'm kinda in a bit of the same boat right now.

I've saw him over the journals, but I haven't spoken to him. he's in the same situation as me, save for he's attached to someone different. He's stuck in his wolf form with Claudia right now and she has no idea he's not just a super smart, nice wolf. He can hold his form, right? How long can he keep it up?

[And then a dry laugh and he nods.]

Yeah, Nepeta... So far we're okay... trying to track down someone with a matching key for us, but so far no go.

[Yeah, she's worried about Derek, but maybe she shouldn't be. He could handle himself. She looked over Alex's rumpled form once more and grins. Okay, yeah, she'd feel bad if he was in danger, but this was almost funny. He bit her lip, trying to hide her humor.]

H-hey, it could be worse, right? Nothing "bad" happened, yet, right?

[A head tilt, then Chloe procures a key and holds it clearly in sight.]

Ugh, if this doesn't unlock my cuffs, whose do you think it'll unlock?

[Maybe she'd have to go out and about after all.]

[Alex is honestly a bit worried about this particular detail, not knowing exactly how long Derek can sustain his wolf form.]

Well, I can remain in a form until I change myself out of it... the full moon being the exception. I have to change on the full moon and always wake up in human form again the next day. I know Derek has to shift when the Change comes, but can he stay in that form as long as he wants?

[And then a dry chuckle and he smiles.]

No, nothing bad yet and hopefully it'll stay that way. I'm okay with things being calm for a time around here.

[Then he sighs, his expression hopeful yet wary; he hadn't quite worked out the technicalities yet.]

I don't know... problem is, if you get too close to anyone, you might get stuck to them.
