I don't suppose anyone else happens to have a pair of these on them, do they? I would like to think I'd remember hijinks that involved handcuffs.

[That look he's giving right now is for you Anders.]

As it stands, I also have a key, but... [he demonstrates with the key, trying to unlock his cuffs to no avail.] My key doesn't seem to work with my cuffs. So... anyone else in this boat? Anyone else have a key they'd like to try? I'll show you mine if you show me yours...

[He offers a grin and gestures with his head over his shoulder.]

I'll be down in the courtyard if anyone wants to play a game of musical cuff keys.

I've saw him over the journals, but I haven't spoken to him. he's in the same situation as me, save for he's attached to someone different. He's stuck in his wolf form with Claudia right now and she has no idea he's not just a super smart, nice wolf. He can hold his form, right? How long can he keep it up?

[And then a dry laugh and he nods.]

Yeah, Nepeta... So far we're okay... trying to track down someone with a matching key for us, but so far no go.

I--I-I don't know. How long are you able to hold your form? I believe it would probably be the same.

[Yeah, she's worried about Derek, but maybe she shouldn't be. He could handle himself. She looked over Alex's rumpled form once more and grins. Okay, yeah, she'd feel bad if he was in danger, but this was almost funny. He bit her lip, trying to hide her humor.]

H-hey, it could be worse, right? Nothing "bad" happened, yet, right?

[A head tilt, then Chloe procures a key and holds it clearly in sight.]

Ugh, if this doesn't unlock my cuffs, whose do you think it'll unlock?

[Maybe she'd have to go out and about after all.]

[Alex is honestly a bit worried about this particular detail, not knowing exactly how long Derek can sustain his wolf form.]

Well, I can remain in a form until I change myself out of it... the full moon being the exception. I have to change on the full moon and always wake up in human form again the next day. I know Derek has to shift when the Change comes, but can he stay in that form as long as he wants?

[And then a dry chuckle and he smiles.]

No, nothing bad yet and hopefully it'll stay that way. I'm okay with things being calm for a time around here.

[Then he sighs, his expression hopeful yet wary; he hadn't quite worked out the technicalities yet.]

I don't know... problem is, if you get too close to anyone, you might get stuck to them.

[Now Chloe's gone deathly pale, her throat running dry.]

No. No he can't.

Derek changes whenever his body tells him to. I-it's...

[Now she's worried. Really worried. Especially since he didn't want his secret to get out, and he'd be naked and handcuffed to a girl and...]

Th-this is bad.

[She's nodding to his later words, trying to stay in control and not panic. Alex was right. Nothing bad had happened yet. Hopefully nothing would. There wasn't a good enough track record going around the Keep for Chloe to completely believe this would pass over without a hitch, however.]

So I should avoid people I don't want to get stuck to.

[Alex watches as Chloe grows pale and mentally kicks himself firmly. Visually, he only grimaces a bit, moving to clean up the mess he'd made.]

Chloe, I'm sure this is something Derek has already considered. You know as well as I do that he's more than capable of taking care of himself in pretty much any given situation. Claudia seems nice and I really don't think that she means him any sort of harm.

[Let's gloss over the naked aspect of this problem, shall we. No point in bringing up that her boyfriend could be handcuffed to another girl... naked. Alex was rather certain that Chloe had already considered this, hence her going all pale.

So, she moves on and so does he, nodding firmly in response to her comment.]

I would profoundly suggest such, yes. I don't think we have any control over these things and I doubt that we're going to be told how this works, so it's best to be prepared.
