[Alex's face pops into view, a wry expression on his face.]

I don't suppose anyone else happens to have a pair of these on them, do they? I would like to think I'd remember hijinks that involved handcuffs.

[That look he's giving right now is for you Anders.]

As it stands, I also have a key, but... [he demonstrates with the key, trying to unlock his cuffs to no avail.] My key doesn't seem to work with my cuffs. So... anyone else in this boat? Anyone else have a key they'd like to try? I'll show you mine if you show me yours...

[He offers a grin and gestures with his head over his shoulder.]

I'll be down in the courtyard if anyone wants to play a game of musical cuff keys.

[Alex's smile slips and he sighs softly, running a hand up and through his hair. He shakes his head and chews on the inside of his cheek before answering.]

No... probably not, but if I view every day like that I won't want to even leave my room.

[He offers Anders a wry grin then.]

Try not to cuff yourself to anyone unsavory, mmm? At least not until you find a key that works for you...

[He's... trying to be reassuring, oddly enough.]

I don't intend on cuffing myself to anyone, to be honest.

[Alex understands the attempt at reassurance and snorts softly, lips quirking a bit.]

[He sounds amused, but really, would it be much longer before they were punished for simply speaking out? Who knew! A lot of people would be in for a terrible time, if so. (Seriously, could you imagine that shit?)

Then a genuinely amused chuckle follows at the latter.]

[It's a small thing, but getting Anders to say things like this, even behind a seal, brings a soft smile to the Were's lips. He inclines his head...]

I'll do my absolute best... I've rather had my fill of 'danger' and 'life threatening' for a while.

[Oh... you mean the woman that was keeping him company during the full moon? Nah, he'll stay away from her... he will be stuck with at least one troll that kinda sorta wants him dead, though. Oops.]

That makes two of us. If only it were as easy as avoiding everything potentially harmful.

A bit difficult when even the plants of this place are out for your blood, but I shall do my best.

Just... keep out of the forest, and the plants shouldn't be an issue.

Avoid plants and forest at large.. keep safe in general and avoid threat of death from any other source avoidable. I think I can manage that so long as you do the same...

Perhaps not doomed, per say. You said so long as Hawke doesn't drag you about... we should presume this will happen yes? We should just expect that where trouble is, it will find him.
