[Alex has been keeping himself busy with small things and when making clothing isn't enough, he can be found in the kitchens... like now.
True, it doesn't have all the fixings and supplies of home, but there is enough to make do and he's doing just that. There is flour all over his arms and he looks to be weaving bread dough together if you were to happen upon him.
The first thing that might catch your attention, though, even before you see the Were prepping food, is the music. You see, Alex knows all about the limited sources of electricity in the Keep and he currently has his laptop plugged in and his iTunes open.
Right now it sounds like something classical, but it could change in a moment.
Bother the baking werecat?]

[... but he has to feed himself eventually. So into the kitchen it is.]
[He stops in the doorway, though, an actual smile on his face. However small it is.]
I might have known you'd be in here.
Oh god what is my life... responding after forever and I'm so so sorry. ;A;
Now what exactly does that mean, hmmm? If I'm not sewing, I'm cooking?
[He arches his brows, smile never fully leaving his lips as he leans back against the counter.]
NO PROB
[Though he does smile a little when he says it. It's hard not to, really. Justice has been quiet, nothing has been threatening them... and despite Hawke and Varric having vanished, he's sure they'll be able to look after themselves.]
Considering when I'm not healing, I'm discussing or writing about the plight of mages, it's not too far off the mark to assume.
Is it?

[Alex’s broadening smiled is twofold: one, because Anders was smiling so freely and two, because the answer was without hesitation and truthful. If Alex wasn’t doing one round of Happy Homemaker, he was doing another round of it elsewhere. Anders knew him perfectly well enough that he was content sewing, cooking or cleaning.]
Alas! Have we truly fallen into such predictable patterns??
[He saunters on over and kisses the Mage lightly, doing his best to not get him all over with flour.]
I don’t suppose you’ve picked up at all in there yet, have you? God help you if I ever take on the chore that is your room, Anders; you’ll never find anything ever again. Let alone that I can’t imagine what the sight of an uncovered and clean floor might do to you.
[Who’s being cheeky now? His tone is teasing through all of this, though, and after a beat he falls silent, lips pursed.]
Though… the added benefit of not taking a quill or book to the back while we’re tumbling about might make it well worth the effort.

[He certainly doesn't mind being called such, not by this man. He rests his hands on the other's hips, automatically.]
It would seem we have.
Ah... no. It hasn't been on my mind, of late.
[WELLP he sure looks embarrassed. Lately, he's been more worried about the missing Hawke, despite appearances.]
The bed is clear. At least.

I can’t imagine anyone ever having a problem with you, Anders. [When the Mage’s hands settle onto his hips, his smiles eases and warms. He’s more comfortable with Anders then he’s ever been with anyone else and the fact that the Mage has gotten more comfortable about showing PDA makes him happy.
Seeing that he’s embarrassed Anders a bit, he moves to brush his thumbs over the Mage’s cheeks.]
I tease, love… with the amount of writing you do, it’s hardly a worry.

You can't be serious? Did you forget the entire ordeal with that woman?
[With Kloe versus Justice? When he'd attacked her? And... every conversation they'd had afterward?]
[He doesn't move his hands, though, despite the skepticism. He tilts his head into the contact.]
A pity no one here has any interest in their minds being changed.

[Alex grins smoothly at the remark.]
Oh, well, in that case… I don’t agree at all with how you keep that poor room of yours. I think that I am in sore need of convincing otherwise. [He gives a nonchalant shrug, doing his very best imitation of unconcerned.] Either that or I’ll have to show up and clean when you’re out next.
no subject
[He makes a face, anyway.]
You wouldn't.
no subject
I most certainly would and I can assure you that you won’t be able to find a single thing when I’m done; alphabetization everywhere!
no subject
[He sounds so serious about it, too. And... he probably is.]
[Though he does smile a little.]
Oh no, alphabetizing. Whatever shall I do?
no subject
No, don’t say that. [He cups the mages’ face, never moving away from him.] You are worth and good for so much more than that, Anders… [He dips his head so Anders has to look at him.] Your value to me alone is more than that.
no subject
[He says it lightly enough, though, as if it's all a joke. And it might very well be. But after blowing up the entire chantry? Self-worth is a little difficult to hold onto. Especially when you'd fully expected to die afterward.]
no subject
[Though wonderful with flowery language, Alex would much prefer things be told as they are. He wipes at a smear of floor he dotted on Anders' cheek, managing to simply smear it. His grin flashes briefly and he meets the Mages gaze once more.]
Have you eaten, my dashing Mage?
