[Alex's image pops up onto the screen, looking bright eyed and rather bushy tailed, his hair pulled back into a rough pony-tail.]

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen and everyone else in between. To those I've already met - 'hi' [He waves pleasantly.] and to those I haven't met yet .. I'm Alex. I'm from California, which is on Earth .. my version of Earth anyway .. and the year was 2011 when I was brought here.

Now that the whole spider thing is behind us I feel like I can do this without having anyone looking at me like I've lost my mind, I'm going to.

I've been working with Joe in the kitchens and by myself over in the clothier .. and well .. I'm bored, at least in the clothier. Not too much is coming in to be repaired and I really love sewing.

[He gives a slight shrug, but is still smiling. Does this ~~girl~~ guy ever NOT smile?]

So, I guess what I need from y'all is maybe stuff you're missing? Or stuff you'd like .. I know this place is pretty old fashioned, clothing wise, but I love to sew and if there is cloth I can work, I'm willing to make anything you might be in need of.

Same goes with me being in the kitchens .. I've grown up cooking, so if there's something you miss from home, just lemme know, or swing by .. You can pretty much always find me around here somewhere.

Sooo .. yeah! Just lemme know!

[He scoffs, and rolls his eyes.]

Who hasn't had more than their fair share of problems?

[She laughs.]

You speak from experience. I think that is a story that you should share. What did you try to do while you were wearing a corset?

[Yet another person to add to the growing list of people that do not wish to be addressed by titles! She did not think she would ever get used to that.]

I will do my best to remember, Alex.

[At least in writing it was easier to implement than in person. She also found herself smiling along with him, it was infectious.]

If it would please you, I could meet with you now? I have a few projects of my own that I have stashed inside of the tower.

[Alex knew well about the forest, having spent mood amount of time shortly after his arrival within it's welcoming arms. What bothered him was that there didn't seem to be anything past the borders the Keep granted them. They were both protected and rather secluded from anything else.

When he speaks, his tone is one of dry bemusement.]

Point well spoken; God knows, I've had my fair share.

[He tilts his head slightly, studying Anders.]

Why's your name friend?

[Her laugh is good to hear and a smile curls his lips at the memory.]

Well I where them often enough in fashion shows; particularly in France. They are rather the go to in design in France right now, to the delight of mostly no one. As they are popular in shows, they are also one of the starring attractions in photo shoots as well. I was put on a trampoline once, in full corset and gown, and asked to jump so they could get pictures with movement. The HELL if I know what one had to do with the other, but the director of the shoot says jump and you jump. I have never, IN MY LIFE, been as winded and unable to do anything about it.

Sure, they look pretty, but I'm hardly going to win any athletic challenges while tied into one.

[He shakes his head, clearly amused.]

Directors forget how constricting they are and still expect you to operate at one hundred and ten percent while tied in; even if it's doing something outlandishly physical.

[You can tell a lot about a person by their handwriting if you know what to look for; unfortunately Alex hasno idea what to look for. The only thing he can tell is she has neat, pretty scrpt and that's about it. :D

His smile is bright and warm as he gives a nod of his head.]

I'm perfectly free right now, actually and would love to meet with you. Shall we say .. ten minutes?

[Anders snorts -- how very refined and dignified this mage is. There's no reason to hide who he is. Even if there were more people from Kirkwall here, better they know his face than he hide.]

It's Anders. And you are?

[Well, Alex has met witches before, but never a mage, so he's no idea what to compare him to! In any case, a person is a person is a person! :D]

Alex; pleasure to meet you..

[Aw, look at that! He's even offering a friendly smile in accompaniment! Isn't Alex just a charmer and a half!]

[And... he's not quite sure what to make of that. People aren't usually pleased to meet him.]

Er... yes. Same to you.

[You also can't see her nodding or smiling like a goon.]

Yes! I would gladly meet with you! Though, I think now the last parts of your sentence, is lost on me, I do not know what minutes are. My apologies!

[Alex chuckles softly, his expression one of bemusement.]

Well, thank you, most noble and complimentary Sir!

[Why yes, that would be flirting happening to you right now, Anders. Whether just having met you or a friend for ages, it matters not. You are an attractive gentleman and therefore shall be treated as such. :D]

[Oh, this pair is going to be most amusing to play with! :3

Alex's smile never slips and he chuckles, blue-green gaze alight with good-natured mirth.]

Ahh .. well, no apologies needed, Isabella! Minutes are a manner of telling time on my world. A minute is made up of sixty seconds. Seconds can be timed as .. one .. two .. three .. four .. and so on until you reach sixty.

[He spaces the numbered explanation in time with second ticking, clearly not put out at all to be explaining.]

At sixty seconds, it becomes a minute .. sixty minutes is an hour.

[His nose wrinkles slightly as his grin broadens.]

I suppose I could simply say 'shortly' and have the desired meaning as well.

[Again. Unexpected. He doesn't really answer for a minute or two, just looks puzzled.]

I wouldn't go so far as 'noble'.

Where I had been before, we used to mark the time with candles. It varied upon the candlemaker your time pieces came from.

[Is is perhaps a lost shame that Alex can not see how widely Isabella is grinning right back. ]

I will see you shortly then, Alex!

[And so the half angel gathered herself and headed for the Clothier tower. She knocks on the door and peeks in to see if anyone had arrived or was there. A grin was painted on her face and stretched the corners of her eyes, making crows feet there. ]

To'm- Alex?

[So much easier to remember to not use titles in text than it was to try and break the habit in person. She'll get the hang of it! Eventually.]

[She tries to stifle her laughter. It doesn't work. At all.]

I don't think that I would survive very long in fashion. But maybe you should have persuaded your directors to join you?

[Alex snorts softly in bemusement, not at all bothered that she is taking enjoyment in his fashionable torment. His grins wry and he shakes his head, eyes alight with laughter.]

God, no!! I dread to think what they would look like bedecked in the same apparel! Honey, we can't all look this good! [He makes a gestures that includes both she and he, winking.]

[Alex doesn't weekend least bit phased by Anders' puzzlement or denial.]

Ah, but every person should be treated with both decorum and respect unless the right to either has been lost. [There's that bright smile again, never seeming to slip.] You, dear Anders, have been acting with nothing but decorum and respect and 'lo, have earned it back in spades.

[He inclines his head, knowing he's laying it on thick but Qing no attempt to hide it.]

[Dot dot dot. Quick. Say something witty. Use that 'sexy tortured look' Isabella said you had.]

It's... been some time since anyone's spoken to me like this.

[His tone says he's surprised. Not angry. Maybe even a bit... intrigued.]

I can't say I've had the time, or interest in such pursuits, lately.

[She gives another awkward little laugh.]

Maybe you're right.

Are you free now then, or should I wait?

[Smooth change of subject.]

[Alex is the queen of letting things dropped when they've been pushed a bit much. So he notes the subject change and swings in that direction most willingly.]

I'm perfectly free right now .. shall I meet you at the clothier or would you prefer elsewhere? I'm completely okay with whatever makes you the most comfortable.

[Well, Anders wasn't acting as if offended or upset by the flirting and that was a decided plus (even if he appears just a tiny bit poleaxed by it). So, Alex runs with it! :D]

Mmm, well that's a crime in and of it's own right! You seem more than worthy of such talk, and a plentiful amount if it, if I might be so bold.

[And he will be so bold, too. At the latter Alex's brows rise almost dramatically, his expression disbelieving.]

Although I can understand that different times allow for the varied presence of such interest, I find it quite sad that you have not had the time for it! Anders, there is always time for such, be a fleeting moment or something far more Homerian in nature. One should not limit themselves to such moments in time, but grasp them whenever they arise.

[His eyes are alight with mirth, but there is also no doubting the very deliberate flirting he's throwing out here.]

After all, one never knows when the next opportunity might present itself.

At the clothier's I think would be good. I will meet you there!

[He gives a slight incline of his head, smile ever present.]

I'll be there shortly.

[And indeed, off he goes. He doesn't need to bring anything with him, all his supplies already in the clothier tower waiting for him. It only takes him the travel time from his room to the tower and then he's there!]

Anyone home?

Perhaps I should check a looking glass more often.

[There's something almost dismissive in the way he says it -- he doesn't believe that, but he's humoring the other, likely.]

In your world, in your life, yes. Certainly. But there are things which need our attention more than the attractive individual next door. An apostate doesn't generally tend to be the sort of person one looks for in a companion.

[Except that Hawke had three of them around. Go figure.]

It's also, perhaps, safer to be limited, in some cases. Such opportunities frequently come at great risk.

[Alex's lips quirk in a grin and he gives a casual shrug.]

Oh, I don't know .. I'd be more than happy to tell you how dashing you are every morning.

[He listens with a curious headtilt and then snorts softly.]

I should think having you as a companion would be both beneficial, enlightening and enjoyable; apostate or not. I've no doubt you would give the best of advise being an apostate.

[At the last his lips purse and he gives a slight nod.]

That one I'll give you, although it shouldn't prevent you from being with your fellows or getting to know strangers. Dangers lurks everywhere and at every turn .. you can't closet yourself off simply due to risk.
