Invitation: Who invited you to this game?
Thank you for applying to the Fatemarked Facility on behalf of your chosen character. Please answer the following questions, which will allow us to determine whether they are suitable candidates. Be honest and thorough.
1. Character Name: Alex Marsters
2. Canon/Series: OC
World Info
Alex Background
3. Age: 20
4. Species: Wereleopard
5. Role: Fatemarked
6. Why do you think your character is a good candidate for the Fatemarked setting?
Alex tries to maintain a measure of calm in any scenario, acting as the voice of reason whenever possible. He is passionately protective of those he cares about, going to whatever length necessary to see to their safety and well-being. He's always been one to root for the underdog and help out when possible, and helping prevent people (himself included) from being used as weapons is something he would be all about.
7. What skills does your character have which might make them a good Sentinel? NA
8. What traits, abilities, or qualities does your character have which might be the reason they are Fatemarked?
Bulleted for your pleasure:
• Metahuman strength, endurance, and agility in all forms
• Ability to sense magical beings or creatures
• Enhanced healing abilities in all forms
-As a were-creature, Alex can naturally heal quicker than his human counterparts. Smaller wounds (cuts/scrapes) will heal within minutes, while larger wounds (stab wounds/bullets/slices) can take one or more hours. Large injuries, such as broken limbs or gaping wounds can take several days' depending on their severity. When the moon is closer to being full (or is full), his abilities are augmented and work at a faster pace. There have been rumors that it is possible to heal from the loss of a limb, but as Alex has never had this problem (nor knows anyone directly effected), this is simply conjecture
• Shape-shifting: human, leopard, and were
-Alex can change freely between his three forms
Human form:
6'2" / 143lbs
Blonde hair // waist length, wavy
Eyes: blue-green
Body type: fit and toned
Leopard form:
Typically colored leopard, blue-green eyes, about 1/2 again as large as a non-lycanthropic leopard. (Think somewhere between the average average lioness and tiger in size/weight, rather than a leopard: approx 300lbs)
Were form:
He can also take a form that is a classic 'were' animal, half man and half animal, with speaking abilities.
6'9" / 323 lbs
9. How do you think your character will react to their new role in life?
While Alex won't exactly be thrilled to have been yanked from his own world and the (relative) safety of his parent's home, he will not be at all supportive of the Trust or their intentions or ideas. If there's something he can do to protect and prevent other Fademarked from being taken and used, he will do everything in his power to help.
10. What are some of your character's strengths?
Alex has the ability to remain calm in most situations that he's been through (up to and including the attack in Milan and his first change to a Wereleopard). He is lighthearted and quick to smile, but listens well to directions and orders; particularly when the safety of others is concerned. He is friendly and extremely flirty, and gets along with just about everyone he knows, with some exceptions; some personalities just clash and some are uncomfortable with his androgynous nature and open-minded sexuality.
11. What are some of your character's weaknesses?
● Weakness to silver
-A wound inflicted by silver takes far longer to heal than normal; as if Alex had no additional healing abilities (normal human healing). If the silver item is kept within the wound site (ie: bullet, knife), it will not begin to heal until removed and can bring on blood poisoning like symptoms.
● He must change form on the full moon. While the full moon holds it place in the sky, Alex surrenders to his beast and, while retaining human intelligence, his only goal is to kill and satiate his blood lust. He does not differentiate between friend or foe during this time; everyone is prey.
12. Does your character have any health problems we should know about?
● Lycanthropy
13. Describe a single important event in your character's history.
One of the most shaping event's in Alex's life would be the day he was attacked in Milan and infected with lycanthropy. He was, in all respects, a pretty carefree kid that was just comfortable being himself. He worked modeling feminine fashion and was outspoken about gender issues, even at the young age of 15; but not everyone took well to this. While walking back to his apartment from a show with a group of models, he was attacked by a man that was wholly disgusted with the way Alex chose to live his life. However, the man attacked with more than just words, moving in at Alex with a knife. He didn't think twice before moving in front of the others in his group, mostly young women, to keep them from harm's way; it wouldn't have mattered, as the man was intent on Alex alone. Alex was struck several times, but fought back with a ferocity that surprised the man, who in turn drew a knife. Blood shed on both sides before authorities arrived and by then it was too late; Alex had been infected by the attacker's own blood. He took it in stride as well as he could, never regretting his choice to defend both the others and himself from the man.
14. Who is your character's next-of-kin? Mother and Father
15. Tell us about the most important relationship your character has.
Alex has always been closest to his mother and she's served the role of not only parent in his life, but best friend. While his father was accepting of Alex's rather fey nature, it was his mother he went to first to talk to. She always encouraged him to not go with the flow and to be himself, even if it meant that he preferred dresses and skirts to slacks. He's always known her to be supportive and loving and would do anything for her that was within his power.
16. What else should we know about your character that might recommend them to the position?
Alex is a team player and rarely has any issues with authority; the pack leader of the wolves that took him in after his first change is the second most important figure in his life, beneath his mother. He has no problem in speaking his mind, but will try to do so in the most respectful manner he can... unless the superior is completely in the wrong, at which time he will do what needs to be done. He is not a born leader, but as he gets older it is something he could be coached into; it's a matter of if he wants it or not.
All in all, while uncertain about his future among the Fademarked, it's a thrilling change of pace to modeling and taking classes at the local community college.,
17. What is your character's Fatemark? A circle to represent the full moon.
18. Please provide two writing samples showing us your ability to roleplay.
